Michael Jordan and Jordan Brand have made it a point to use his rivals and the defining moments in his career as inspiration for Jordan retro colour ways. In 2013, the AJ1 Celtics version released in "OG" form, meaning it had the ever-popular Nike Air branding on the tongue and insoles. Unlike the Celtics inspired colorway from the DMP Pack a few years before, this Celtics Air Jordan 1 featured gold with the traditional Boston green and white colors. The official colors of this St. Patrick’s Day appropriate color scheme are Clover/Metallic Gold-White-Black and it features a unique texture over the green overlay panels, which contrast nicely with the gold Wings logo and lining, as well as with the gum-like gold outsole
