The Wizard of Oz is a 1939 American musical fantasy film based on L. Frank Baum's 1900 children's book, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, and tells the story of a young girl named Dorothy who is swept away to a magical land in a tornado and must journey to meet the Wizard who can help her return home.
