In 1988, the Jamaican national bobsleigh team made their debut in the Winter Olympics held in Calgary, Canada, inspired by their real-life story, the 1993 film "Cool Runnings" depicts their journey, and one of their training locations was the Sun Island Hotel in Jamaica.
